“Hi my name is Ethan and I play baseball. I am committed to Tulane University where I will start my college career next year. This fall I had an upper back injury probably from a combination of lifting and hitting. I was struggling to twist, lift things above my head, and in general felt weak in the left side of my upper back. When I went to a doctor and they had me do several MRI’s of my cervical spine and shoulders and found no damage so it was assumed it was a muscular issue. I was sidelined from all activity for about a month until I started doing some neck and back strengthening exercises with Rachel. When I first came to Rachel I was pretty frustrated with my mobility. At first we struggled to find the problem area and I didn’t get much relief. Finally after about a week she diagnosed me with a serratus posterior superior issue. We targeted that area with cupping and several different soft tissue massage techniques and I got relief after about 3 weeks and was able to hit and lift again. My experience with Rachel was a great one. She is a fantastic physical therapist who focuses on relief while strengthening the hurt area. She did a really great job and I would highly recommend to everyone! ” –Ethan G.

“When I learned I had shin splints at the beginning of my high school lacrosse season, I thought it would take me forever to get back on the field and be healthy again. With Rachel helping me with physical therapy, I was able to heal and strengthen my legs so I was ready to play within no time. Thanks to Rachel, I have fully recovered, and am even stronger than I was at the beginning of the season!” –Kate H.

“ I sustained a fairly serious ankle injury about a year and a half ago, causing limited mobility and pain through normal movements. I worked with a PT in Orlando originally, then when I went to college I worked with my athletic training staff. After working with them for over 8 months, they had not improved my mobility nor had they even figured out what was causing the pain. They referred me to a top orthopaedic in Boston who said my only course of action was surgery. Being against surgery, I had seen and heard of the many people that have worked with Rachel and had miracles done for them (removing years of pain, fixing imbalances, rehabbing, etc.) and decided that I would give physical therapy one more go before deciding that the only course of action was surgery. In less than 20 minutes in our first session, Rachel had not only identified several issues that were causing my pain and limited mobility, she had found remedies for all of them through PT. By the end of the first session, she had figured out how to remove the pain, and had given me exercises that actually benefited me, rather than putting me through a standard PT course. By the end of 6 weeks, I had near perfect mobility, no pain (something I will be eternally grateful for), and am able to perform similarly to how I did pre-injury. Rachel was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and helped me finally recover from pain I've had since the injury. Furthermore, Rachel works with you at your own pace, facing setbacks with you to work through them, something that is hard to find. Everything is 1-on-1, she notices how you do every exercise to determine if there are other issues you might have that could contribute to your ailment. If I had to say in one word why you should work with her, it would be care. Rachel cares about what she does, she's passionate, and genuinely knowledgeable, three traits that are VERY hard to find in the PT world. So save yourself some time (and a lot of money) by working with her than going through the standard, ineffective PT mill"

I LOVE Dr Rachel. She gave me my life back. I came into her office with severe lower back pain, to the point of not being able to stand for more than 5 minutes. Dr Rachel was able to quickly assess my problem and after my first session I went home with minimal and manageable pain. The sessions I had with Dr Rachel felt specialized to my needs and goals verses the generic physical therapy sessions Ive had with other therapists in the past. The homework she give me to do between sessions really was specific to my needs and the progress I have had is amazing. I am now completely pain free thanks for Dr Rachel and I recommend her to anyone who needs sport rehab.
